This book will give wings to the hopes and dreams in each child’s heart.
As the mother of a grown child who was read to every night of his childhood, I have read, purchased, and borrowed my fair share of children’s books.
Now running our church’s Bedtime Story and Prayers program every week, we look for books that are interesting to read, visually pleasing and with a positive message to share with the kids. Ms. Wonder’s books check all the boxes each and every time.
I must say she has outdone herself with this new book! I totally echo her sentiments in the Author’s Note: “It is the kind of book that I would have loved to read when I was a little girl dreaming of becoming a ‘rhymer of rhymes’ one day.” I applaud her for encapsulating the essentials of the very serious topic of “career choice” in this beautiful package of lovely rhyming prose, absolutely stunning artwork and sage advice. This is a book that not only every child should read, but each young graduate or young adult finding his/her way in life can benefit from. The list of career choices at the end of the book is a great way to stimulate the aspirations of the young mind.
This book is just a joy to read. The writing, illustrations, layout, and colouring are simply superb. You can read it over and over again and still sigh with appreciation for its wonderfully crafted pages and the message that comes with them.
Read this book with your child, give it as a gift or keep it in the library. It will give wings to the hopes and dreams in each child’s heart.

Beautiful illustrations!
The illustrations are beautiful, I particularly loved the cover and the message of the book, which hooked me. The theme is great – forward looking imagining he future with hope. The author has packed a lot in – career choices, the passing of time, the future, how life doesn’t always work out as you imagine, ambition and how to succeed by working hard. The ‘story’ concludes with a page of career choices, which would be a great prompt for discussion. This is definitely a book for an adult and child to share.

Thought-Provoking, Empathetic, Realistic AND Imaginative
Once again, a clear favorite from author Wonders whom I spotted very early on.
This book, written in verse, demonstrates a deep understanding of the inner life of children growing up trying to find their own little niche in a cut-throat competitive world. It is a story about dreams and wishes in life, and a tale of ups and downs everyone meets along the way as they strive to reach their goals.
It cautions about being self-limiting and encourages kids to go into the world with guts and determination. All written in language that is meaningful to a child of say 7 or 8.
“Do you Dream of things that seem out of reach,
Do you daydream a lot,
When you’re out on the beach?”
The voice is wise and motivational:
“So it’s never too early,
It’s never too soon
to wonder what
you will be
and reach for the moon”
An excellent book that focuses on career aspirations and invites kids to think about what is right for them. I can see this book being useful at home and in schools.
At the end of the book, there are little pictures of children with clues as to what they will do for a living, and readers are encouraged to say what profession or job is depicted in the illustrations.
The illustrations were whimsical and colorful, although I have to say, I did not like them quite as much as in the first book.
Overall, I recommend this book without hesitation.

One of the best books I’ve ever bought
The illustrations are beautiful, I particularly loved the cover and the This book is brilliant. I bought it for my personal collection and I’m completely stunned.
The print is awesome and very well crafted.
The story is magical, even if I am 30 years old it made me think about what I want to become when I grow up (didn’t I grow up yet???). I think that everyone will wonder this way, despite our age. It’s part of the trip I guess.
Anyway, 10/10 story.
Illustrations are the best I’ve ever seen. Every page will give you chills. Colors are perfectly balanced, warm and cold when needed, a true living painting. The artist is a true master in bringing characters to life. Character design is fresh and never before seen, which is a goal hard to reach in this world full of books for children.
Art 10+++/10
I think that the author and artist perfectly matched for this wonderful book which is a must have in my opinion.
I will also buy the hardcover edition.

Beautifully Illustrated
“The poetry is pleasant and easy to read. The illustrations are beyond beautiful. The message is both positive and whimsical. The list of career choices near the end of the book is a great idea; it stimulates discussion about what each career entails. Our 3.5 year old was engrossed in the book when we read it together. This book is a cut above the rest, and I would highly recommend it.”
