🎉 Oh, I’m so thrilled to share this with you—another one of my children’s books also won at the 2022 IAN Book of the Year Awards. The Night the Monsters Came was selected as the “Outstanding Children’s Fiction Illustrated” Category WINNER. Yay!

🧡 Thank you so much, 2022 IAN Book of the Year Awards! I’m so grateful for this recognition.

🧡 Thank you, Lisa Ciccone, for your delightful and engaging illustrations.

The Night the Monsters Came is a recipient of 14 literary awards, including a 2022 Gold IPPY Award, a 2022 Silver Nautilus Book Award, and a 2021 Bronze Moonbeam Children’s Book Award.

The Night the Monsters Came is for young readers who love creatures that are both spooky and ridiculous. In a humorous and playful way, this children’s book shows its young readers that it’s never too early to start creating healthy habits, such as washing their hands and brushing their teeth, as part of their routine. Moreover, this bedtime story relies on humor, wit, and courage to help children overcome fear.
