I wrote this little chaos-comedy over a decade ago, back when I wasn’t worried about word count, page numbers, or book sizes. I simply wanted to tell a story that made me laugh.
I later learned that picture books are usually much shorter—lesson noted! 😂 But I still love what this book reminds me of: write with joy first, and figure out the rest along the way.
It’s a story about noise, nosy neighbors, and backyard mischief—full of schemes, squawks, and comeuppance. If you like cozy chaos, watercolor whimsy, and big read-aloud energy, this one’s for you. 💛
